The Missouri Association of Manufacturers (MAM) has partnered with Tooling U-SME, an online training provider, to offset the cost of bringing high-quality, customized, on-site training to manufacturers. More than 500 unique online classes provide a broad offering of manufacturing training topics. Plus, every online class has been reviewed and validated by industry experts.

Online Training from MAM and Tooling U-SME offers a quick-start, progressive road map that allows manufacturers to build career paths for employees. This online training is intended to enhance your existing on the job training, to create a job progression plan and requires minimal preparation. It is efficient, effective training that has been developed with input from manufacturing experts.

Online classes are self-paced, typically taking 60 minutes to complete.

They are easily and conveniently accessible on desktops and laptops,

and on tablets and phones with the Tooling U-SME app.

October 2023 Monthly Jobs Report
Missouri Economic Research and Information Center 

Missouri nonfarm payroll employment increased by 5,600 jobs in October 2023, and the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased by two-tenths of a percentage point. Private industry employment increased by 4,800 jobs and government employment increased by 800 jobs. The state's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.1 percent in October 2023, up from 2.9 percent in September 2023. Over the year, there was an increase of 41,300 jobs from October 2022 to October 2023, and the unemployment rate increased by four-tenths of a percentage point, from 2.7 percent in October 2022 to 3.1 percent in October 2023.

March 2023

New Missouri occupational projections for 2022-2024 estimate employment growth of 1.7 percent over the period. Occupational groups projected to have the fastest two-year growth rates are Construction and Extraction, Healthcare Support, and Personal Care and Service.
